Recap: The Top 24 Perform at Aulani Mentored by Tori Kelly and Jelly Roll - American Idol 2024
The "American Idol" 2024 Top 24 took the stage over two nights at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina Hawai'i, delivering several knock-out performances. This year's Idol hopefuls looked to establish themselves and earn America's votes with the help of mentors "American Idol" alum Tori Kelly on night one and country music superstar Jelly Roll on night two. Also taking the stage on night one, last year's "American Idol" winner, Iam Tongi, performed in front of an island crowd. Of course, our superstar judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie were on-hand to give feedback and advice and host Ryan Seacrest kept the show rolling. With two nights of America's votes counted, the competition moves back to the mainland SUNDAY 8/7c when the Top 20 Idol hopefuls will perform a song of their choice to capture America's vote once more and the results from the Top 24 vote will be revealed. Then things get even more dramatic MONDAY 8/7c live from Hollywood, when the Top 20 take the stage again as host Ryan Seacrest reveals the 10 hopefuls America has voted to advance. Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will select the remaining four who will round out the Top 14.
