Froy Gutierrez is Jamie Henson, the kind of guy everyone loves and Jeannette's secret crush, in Freeform's highly anticipated drama "Cruel Summer."
After making his television debut in 2015 as Charlie in Nickelodeon's "Bella and the Bulldogs," Gutierrez landed recurring spots on ABC's "The Goldbergs," the Netflix reboot of "One Day at a Time," Hulu's "Light as a Feather" and Quibi's "Wireless." His breakthrough came when he was cast as the emotionally and physically fragile Nolan in season six of "Teen Wolf," a tailor-made role that raised his profile from bit player to an actor with a cult following of 1.7 million followers on Instagram. In 2021, Gutierrez will be in the horror film "Initiation."
Gutierrez split his childhood years between Texas and Mexico. In Dallas, he went to Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and was part of a performance group at Planned Parenthood, where he worked on peer-to-peer outreach with other teens.
