DWTS 2019 Recap: Week 10 - The Semi-Finals
After nine weeks of intense competition, the coveted Mirrorball Trophy was in-sight for the five remaining celebrities and their pro dancer partners as Dancing with the Stars 2019 entered its Semi-Finals. With scores so close between the remaining couples, it was still anyone's competition to win as they once again danced for judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. This week, each couple had the chance to redeem themselves by performing a routine from earlier in the season that the judges considered their weakest. They then had to take on an all-new routine to finish the night and earn their spot in the Finals. Who went home on Dancing with the Stars? Keep scrolling for the full recap and results!

Lauren Alaina & Gleb
Lauren and her pro dance partner Gleb Savchenko were in the bottom two last week, so they knew for their redemption dance, they would need to work extra-hard. In Week 2, they did a Paso Doble and Len wanted to see stronger shaping and more recognizable steps. Here in Week 10, Len loved the mix of expression and aggression and Bruno and Carrie Ann saw improvement in her shaping.

Kel Mitchell & Witney
Kel and Witney Carson's Week 1 Tango was their lowest scoring dance of the season, so Bruno wanted to see them tackle it again as their redemption dance. Bruno felt like Kel was a little too up-and-down on his first try, but this time was so much better. Carrie Ann told Kel and Witney that she feels like they have come the furthest, and Len loved the intensity and enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, this time he had the same issue, Bruno felt like James was off timing quite a bit this time, and Carrie Ann felt like his posture had some real problems.

Carrie Ann chose Ally & Sasha, as did Bruno and Len, so it was time to say an emotional goodbye to James Van Der Beek.
