Dancing with the Stars 2017 Cast Shines on Season Premiere

The Dancing with the Stars Season 24 premiere kicked off in fine fashion with a brand new DWTS cast. Stars like Simone Biles, Rashad Jennings and Bonner Bolton impressed right out of the gate, while low scorers like Chris Kattan and Mr. T still have one more week to find their footing in the ballroom. Let's do a DWTS recap of Week 1 of Dancing with the Stars 2017 with the top dances of the night along with the judges' scores for each and every team. First, let's take a look at the amazing opening number that kicked off the evening!

Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy: The team did a very quick Quickstep to "Good Time Good Life" by Erin Bowman. Len felt wanted a little more body contact, but still felt it was a good performance right out of the gate. Scores of 7-6-7-7 for a total of 27.

Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev: The team danced the Vienesse Waltz. Carrie Ann felt Nancy suited the dance well but felt she needs to work on her focus. Len added that the team is a pairing with great promise. Scores of 7-7-7-7 from the judges for a total of 28.

Chris Kattan and Witney Carson: Well, it was a Night at the Roxbury as the team did a Cha Cha to "What Is Love" by Haddaway. Bruno called it the perfect interpretation of the Cha Cha Cha with a hangover. Scores of 5-4-4-4 from the judges for a total of 17 - the low score of the night.

Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess: The team did a Cha Cha to "Move" by Luke Bryan. Carrie Ann had to check to make sure she wasn't drooling, as she said that Bonner has both the looks and the movies. Julianne wants him to trust his instincts. Bruno thinks Sharna is in for the ride of a lifetime. Scores of 6-5-5-6 from the judges for a total of 22.

Charo and Keo Motsepe: The team did a Salsa to "Cuban Pete" from Mambo Companeros. Len felt it was an action-packed performace but she needs to work on her technique. There other judges also had comments that led to some excited screams from Charo. Scores of 6-5-5-5 from the judges for a total of 21.

Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd: The team did the Cha Cha to "Let Me Love You" from DJ Snake & Tiesto featuring Justin Timberlake. Julianne wants Nick to work on his feet and arms next time around. Bruno felt Nick looked like a pop idol out there and even compared him to Justin Timberlake. Carrie thinks his movement will be better if he relaxes. Scores of 6-6-6-6 from the judges for a total of 24.

Heather Morris and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: The team did a Viennese Waltz to "Make Something Beautiful" from Ben Rector. Carrie Ann felt Heather had great lines but thinks she's hiding her personality. Julianne felt there was mutual exuberance in the dance to go along with a lot of grace. Scores of 7-7-7-7 from the judges for a total of 28.

David Ross and Lindsay Arnold: It was time to play ball as the team did a Quickstep to "Go Cubs Go" from Steve Goodman. Carrie Ann thought it was so much fun. Len didn't feel it was a home run but David did get to first base. Bruno said he looked like a teenager on spring break. Scores of 7-7-7-7 from the judges for a total of 28. See the David Ross Dancing with the Stars video here!

Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko: The team did a Salsa to "XXPEN$IVE" from the star herself, Erika Jayne. Len thought the dance was a little too raunchy. Julianne would have liked a little more Salsa content. Both Carrie Ann and Bruno want Erika to work on her transfer of wait. Scores of 6-6-6-6 from the judges for a total of 24.

Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater: The team did the Cha Cha to "24K Magic" from Bruno Mars. Julianne called it the best dance of the night. She thinks he has the magic to make it all the way. Carrie Ann felt it was a "killer" dance. Len wasn't as impressed, but he still thought it was terrific. Scores of 8-7-8-8 from the judges for a total of 31.

Mr. T and Kym Herjavec: The team did a Cha Cha to the theme from Mr. T's classic show, The A-Team. Bruno says Mr. T is still the "king of bling." Carrie Ann says he had a lot of mistakes, but Len loved the tenacity and how hard he tried. Scores of 5-5-5-5 from the judges for a total 20.

Simone Biles and Sasha Farber: The team did a Tango to "Untouchable" from Tritonal & Cash Cash. Carrie Ann felt this team was the power couple and Len felt it was the dance of the night. Julianne called them the dynamic duo and Bruno was surprised by the poise he saw in a well done dance. Scores of 8-8-8-8 from the judges for a total of 32, and the top score of the night!
