DWTS Season 27 Results: Week 2

On Dancing with the Stars New York City Night, the celebrities showed off their love of the Big Apple with routines inspired by life in the big city. Then, the dance partners took a big gamble on show-stopping, Las Vegas-inspired routines for Las Vegas Night. From frenetic foxtrots to out-of-this-world Argentine Tangos, here's a recap of New York City Night and Las Vegas Night, including all the scores and what judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli had to say about all 24 dances.

DeMarcus & Lindsay: "You were good last week. I'll tell you what—you were better tonight!" It was high praise from judge Len Goodman for DeMarcus Ware's Foxtrot. DeMarcus and Lindsay scored three 8s for a total of 24 out of 30 points.

Vegas Night: Len and Carrie Ann had some complaints about DeMarcus's form, but Bruno was bowled over. DeMarcus and Lindsay were awarded an 8, a 7, and an 8 for a total of 23 out of 30

Two-night total: 47 out of 60

DeMarcus and Lindsay's "Uplifting" Foxtrot

Danelle & Artem: Artem choreographed Danelle's cane into their Cha Cha to help calm her nerves. Despite a slight misstep at the beginning, Danelle and Artem earned three 6s for a total of 18 out of 30.

Vegas Night: The judges loved seeing how much Danelle enjoyed herself during this dance. They gave her a 7 and two 6s for a total of 19 out of 30.

Two-night total: 37 out of 60

John & Emma: Carrie Ann called John's Charleston fantastic and polished, and while Len wanted to see more "Charleston" in there, he also thought it was a terrific performance. "A first-class ride," crowed Bruno. The judges awarded John and Emma an 8, a 7, and another 8 for a total of 23 out of 30 points.

Vegas Night: John and Emma did Elvis proud with their twin Elvis impersonators, and Len was particularly impressed with how well they did mastering two dances in Week 2. John was given a 7, a 6, and another 7 for a total of 20 out of 30.

Two-night total: 43 out of 60

John & Emma's Kingly Jive

Nancy & Val: Nancy and Val's Uptown Cha Cha was relaxed and confident, despite her fractured foot! The judges were impressed with her performance and Nancy scored three 7s for 21 out of 30.

Vegas Night: The judges disagreed slightly on Nancy's Paso Doble technique; Carrie Ann was impressed with how well Nancy commanded the floor while surrounded by four professional dancers. Nancy received a 7, a 6, and a 7 for 20 out of 30 points.

Two-night total: 41 out of 60

Alexis & Alan: "For me, the best dance so far," Len told Alexis and Alan. The pair earned an 8 from Carrie Ann, a 9 from Len, and an 8 from Bruno for a total of 25 out of 30.

Vegas Night: The judges praised Alexis's lines, and she received three 8s for a total of 24 out of 30.

Alexis & Alan's Sultry Vegas Salsa

Grocery Store Joe & Jenna: "Last week a caterpillar, this week a butterfly!" said Len, while Bruno and Carrie Ann both agreed that there was vast improvement from Joe since Week 1. The judges awarded Grocery Joe and Jenna a 5 and two 6s, for a total of 17 points out of 30.

Vegas Night: The judges had issues with technical aspects of Joe's dancing, but all agreed he has improved. They scored his dance three 6s, for a total of 18 out of 30.

Two-night total: 35 out of 60

Tinashe & Brandon: Len praised the lifts as "spectacular" but felt the futuristic dance strayed too far from the Argentine Tango flavor. Carrie Ann said it was "futuristic and the bomb!" Tinashe and Brandon received a 9, an 8, and a 9 from the judges for a total of 26 out of 30.

Vegas Night: Len called Tinashe's circus-inspired Cha Cha a "knockout performance," and Tinashe received a 9, an 8, and a 9 for 26 out of 30 points.

Two-night total: 52 out of 60

Tinashe & Brandon's futuristic Argentine Tango

Milo & Witney: Bruno called Milo's Charleston exhilarating, and said, "It was like New York itself, it never ceases to amaze me!" Milo and Witney tied the night's high score with a 9, an 8, and a 9, earning a 26 out of 30.

Vegas Night: Milo and Witney's Tango was red-hot! Milo and Witney once again tied for the high score of the night with a 9, an 8, and another 9 for a total of 26 out of 30.

Two-night total: 52 out of 60

Mary Lou & Sasha: Mary Lou's beautiful and inspired Waltz to a live performance of "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" wowed the judges, who awarded her an 8 from Carrie Ann, a 7 from Len, and a 7 from Bruno, for combined total of 22 out of 30.

Vegas Night: The pair received universal praise from the judges for their "proper, proper" Samba, and Mary Lou received 3 8s for a total of 24 out of 30.

Two-night total: 46 out of 60

Juan Pablo & Cheryl: Bruno proclaimed their Quickstep was "a smash hit of 42nd Street!" and Juan Pablo and Cheryl also tied the night's high score with a 9, an 8, and a 9, adding up to 26 out of 30.

Vegas Night: Juan Pablo again impressed the judges with his "yummy" Foxtrot. They received a 9, an 8, and a 9 for a total of 26 out of 30.

Two-night total: 52 out of 60

Evanna & Keo: "There is a little devil in you that's starting to come out!" shouted Bruno after Evanna and Keo finished their fierce and energetic Samba. The couple scored triple 8s, earning 24 out of 30 points.

Vegas Night: "You've cooked up a pretty tasty Jive!" Bruno told Evanna and Keo, and Carrie Ann and Len agreed. Evanna received three 8s for a total score of 24 out of 30.

Two-night total: 48 out of 60

Bobby & Sharna: Bobby Bones closed out New York City Night with a Foxtrot to a Frank Sinatra classic tune, but he confused the judges when he tacked on a little non-Foxtrot Flossing at the end. Bobby's dancing and "youthful exuberance" earned him a 7, a 6, and a 7, for a total of 20 out of 30 points.

Vegas Night: Carrie Ann asks Bobby to tone it down a little, and channel his energy towards improving his dancing. Carrie gave Bobby a 7, while Len and Bruno each gave him 6s. That's a total of 19 out of 30 points.

Two-night total: 39 out of 60

After 12 show-stopping Las Vegas performances, John & Emma and Danelle & Artem were both in jeopardy, and Danelle & Artem became the second couple eliminated from Season 27 of Dancing with the Stars.
