DWTS Season 27 Results: Week 3

Dancing with the Stars Most Memorable Year Night was a roller coaster of emotions. The celebrities tapped into pivotal moments and emotional experiences from their past to perform routines that held powerful significance for them. As Tom Bergeron predicted, it was a night full of tears and goosebumps! Here's a recap of Most Memorable Year Night, including all the scores and what judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli had to say about all the dances.

VIDEO: Watch all the performances from Week 3: Most Memorable Night

Mary Lou & Sasha: Mary Lou's performance, a Viennese waltz to "We are the Champions," celebrating her Olympic gold medal win in 1984, moved the judges. Len said Mary Lou epitomizes the athlete's fighting spirit! Mary Lou and Sasha received three 8s, for 24 out of 30 points.

Milo & Witney: Milo and Witney's fun and fresh jive celebrated 2018, the most memorable time of his 17 long years. Bruno called it fantastic, and despite what Carrie Ann called "little zombie arms," his performance was enough to get him three 9s from the judges! Milo and Witney received 27 out of 30 points.

Nancy & Val: Nancy's routine celebrated the spirit of her love for her family, and specifically 2006, the year her family became complete. Carrie Ann said she loves seeing the joy that emanates from Nancy when she dances. Bruno praised the warmth and tenderness with which Nancy performed the rumba. Nancy and Val scored an 8 and two 7s for 22 out of 30 points.

Alexis & Alan: "Good job, well done!" Len told Alexis. She performed a powerful and beautiful contemporary dance in memory of losing her mother, and the emotions communicated through their dance earned Alexis and Alan a 9, an 8, and a 9 for 26 out of 30 points.

Evanna & Keo: "Your magic is stronger than ever, and we're all under your spell" Bruno told Evanna after her Viennese waltz to "Hedwig's Theme" by John Williams. "That was a magic performance!" Len added. The judges were such fans of her dance they gave Evanna three 9s, for a total of 27 out of 30

Grocery Store Joe & Jenna: Joe and Jenna danced a Viennese waltz in celebration of this year, the year he met his girlfriend Kendall on Bachelor in Paradise. The judges once again saw improvement in Joe, and told him to keep working at it. Joe received three 6s, for 18 out of 30.

Juan Pablo & Cheryl: Juan Pablo's performance celebrated 1999, the year he moved away from his family to chase his dream of working in entertainment. Len said the dance didn't need words, and just applauded. Bruno and Carrie Ann were equally awed by the performance, with Bruno calling it one of the best sambas of his 27 seasons on the show. Juan Pablo and Cheryl earned the first "10" and the first perfect score of Season 27 with 30 out of 30 points!

Juan Pablo & Cheryl's Perfect Samba

John & Emma: In 2016, John lost everything. A "perfect storm" brought a river through his mother's house, and his house, and then his mother passed away. John and Emma's dance for John's mother was moving, elegant, and wonderful, said Bruno. Carrie Ann and Len also thought it was beautiful, and Len said it just needed a little polish. John received three 7s for 21 out of 30 points total.

Bobby & Sharna: Bobby wanted to recognize 1998, the year he became the first in his family to graduate high school. Carrie Ann was blown away by Bobby's contemporary routine, which she called spectacular. "This was your best dance," Len told him. The judges scored Bobby's dance an 8, a 7, and another 8, for a total of 23 out of 30 points.

Bobby & Sharna's Captivating Contemporary

Tinashe & Brandon: The year Tinashe released her first album was her most memorable year, and she and Brandon celebrated by dancing a rumba to Tinashe's own song, "2 On." Bruno loved that it was sensuous and always elegant and Len said it was her best dance yet. Tinashe received three 9s from the judges, for 27 out of 30 points.

DeMarcus & Lindsay: In 2016 DeMarcus won the Super Bowl after more than a decade of hard work, and both of his children were there to see it. The intensity, passion, and elegance in DeMarcus's Argentine tango blew Carrie Ann away. Len praised DeMarcus's dancing, despite thinking the lifts weren't quite what he expected from an Argentine tango. It was a 9, an 8, and another 9 for 26 out of 30 points for DeMarcus and Lindsay.

And although it was Most Memorable Year Night, a show filled with tears and goosebumps, one couple still had to go home. Nancy and Val and Tinashe and Brandon were in jeopardy, and Nancy and Val were sent home.
