Dancing with the Stars Recap: TV Night and Kim Zolciak Biermann's Exit
Welcome to the official recap for the Season 21 Week 3 "TV Night" episode of Dancing with the Stars with guest judge Alfonso Ribeiro (original airdate September 28, 2015). Check out a recap of the night’s most memorable routines in the Glitter Report!
Breaking Great: Alexa PenaVega & Mark Ballas did a Jazz routine to the main title theme from Breaking Bad. Well, there was nothing bad about this creative, innovative routine that showed that this team has great, well, chemistry. Four 9s from the judges earned Alexa and Mark a tie for the top score of the night.
Dear Abbey: Nick Carter & Sharna Burgess did a Viennese Waltz to “Did I Make the Most of Loving You” from Downton Abbey. Their beautiful, flowing routine wowed the crowd and brought in some high praise from the judges. Julianne called him a leading man in what she thought was the best dance of the night. Scores of 9-9-9-9 prove this to be true as the team tied with Alexa and Mark.
When Pigs Dance: There were so many television legends in the ballroom for TV Night. Dawn Wells from Gilligan’s Island was there, as was Marla Gibbs from The Jeffersons. And then there was the most famous TV star of them all—Miss Piggy! She was there to ham it up as Tom Bergeron’s co-host.
Family Values: Gary Busey & Anna Trebunskaya were creepy and kooky and altogether Tango-y as they danced to the theme from The Addams Family. Gomez had it going on as Gary fully embraced the famous sitcom character. The audience and the judges were thoroughly entertained by the routine. Gary upped his scores from the previous week just a touch with 6-7-6-6.
Bloody Good Dance: Alek Skarlatos & Lindsay Arnold did a Tango to “Bad Things” from the popular vampire-friendly show True Blood. The slick, sexy routine had a little bump that some of the judges noticed, but not Julianne. She called the dance perfection. In truth, it was only kinda close to perfection with scores of 8-8-9-8.
Movin’ on Up & Getting Mad Props: Bindi Irwin & Derek Hough did a fine Quickstep to “Movin’ On Up” to impress Marla Gibbs of The Jeffersons fame and Tamar Braxton & Valentin Chmerkovskiy danced the Tango to “A Beautiful Mine” from Mad Men. It was the ‘60s and Val was in charge, much to Tamar’s dismay. But that was just for the theme. When it came time to dance, these two meshed perfectly as a team as their scores of 8-9-8-8 indicate.
TV Night ended with Alexa & Mark and Nick & Sharna atop the leaderboard and Kim Zolciak Biermann exiting the ballroom after her health scare. All remaining teams are back in action for Dancing with the Stars MONDAY 8|7c!
