GH Recap: Patrick Drake Says Goodbye: Week of January 4th
The New Year is bringing the drama to Port Charles! First, Sam and Jason’s close moment is interrupted by an emergency from Liz about Jake. Jason learns that Jake saw a man in the window and was shaken– while the police have been called, the child remains upset and finally Jason decides to spend the night.
Across town, Lulu resists Johnny and we see her love for Dante remains – but when Dante arrives unexpectedly, she needs to protect Johnny from discovery, and Dante & Lulu fight – and the closeness of Xmas week vanishes.
In a huge moment, Nina and Franco finally makes love – and they realize that things are even more perfect than before as they prepare for round two.
Anna has a chance encounter with Julian, Alexis and their loved ones. She is appalled by Julian’s wedding plans, and lets him know that she has not forgotten he has Duke’s blood on his hands. Anna learns from Jordan that the medical examiner is unreachable having taken a sudden and unexpected leave of absence. Jordan takes note of Anna’s vexation and draws forth a partial confession explaining her behavior: Anna says that she has twice spotted Carlos alive. She believes Julian is still up to no good, and Carlos is once again his right hand man, having faked his death with the help of someone inside the department. Later, Jordan hits upon another angle on the subject – Sabrina.
Patrick and Robin drop in at the hospital, where she reunites with Sonny before sitting down with Obrecht to discuss her return to work. Patrick later joins the conversation, but the meeting isn’t going well. Obrecht challenges that Robin has nowhere else to go. Little does Obrecht know, Patrick and Robin are aware of another job opportunity.

Later, Robin and Patrick greet their guests for their going away party… which is actually their wedding. Mac has been ordained online, and marries the happy couple. Sonny admonishes Patrick for leaving him in the lurch doctor-wise, but Patrick assures him that he’ll be taken care of. Anna gives Emma a plane ticket, encourages her to visit anytime. Finally, after bidding their loved ones goodbye, Patrick, Robin and Emma depart for California.
Elizabeth arrives home to what she thinks is an empty house… and hears a noise. Later, Jason enters the house, which Liz knows was locked…and the couple discovers a shattered picture of their family in the living room.
Meanwhile, Nina, Dillon and Maxie celebrate the arrival of their first collaboration on Crimson – only to discover an embarrassing printing error that threatens to scuttle the whole thing. Julian is fatalistic about the potential loss – privately knowing it will hasten along the magazine’s demise. But Nina is gung-ho to make it work and dreams up a marketing solution that will keep the issue on the stands
