Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a Compilation of Asher-isms: On Sex from "How to Get Away with Murder"
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a compilation of Asher-isms: On Sex from season 1 of How to Get Away with Murder below:
The first season of the drama How to Get Away with Murder introduced us to a lot of trials, mysteries and sex. Many of the cases Annalise Keating, played by 2015 Emmy winner Viola Davis, and her associates took on had shocking twists and violent turns. One of the biggest surprises of the show, which takes on dark and heavy topics, was the comic relief brought by one of Annalise’s students, Asher Millstone. During the course of the season we’ve learned a lot about Asher, played by actor Matt McGorry. His personality and perspective became apparent through what we like to call Asher-isms. These are the one line treasures he constantly bestows upon his colleagues and clients.
Asher-isms make us laugh and let us know exactly what is on his mind. One lesson that we’ve definitely learned from Asher-isms is that sex always seems to be on Asher’s mind, and sometimes his fellow students, we’re looking at you Connor. This is evident from his office chit-chat about riding some “questionable strange” and “picturing everyone having sex.” In the episode titled "He Deserved to Die," Asher tells Wes at a night club that he is ready to “release the Kracken” or in other words his “disco stick.” These Asher-isms make it clear that whenever he is at work or enjoying his time off, Asher has one thing on his mind; sex. Although he may not always be the most suave, his charm, confidence and “snack attack” skills make him a baller and a hit with the ladies.
