The Oscars 2021 Best Picture nominations have been announced! Eight films are now competing to take home the most prestigious award in film, the Oscar, with the winner revealed when the Oscars air LIVE SUNDAY APRIL 25 8e|5p on ABC. The nominees for Best Picture are: THE FATHER, JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH, MANK, MINARI, NOMADLAND, PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN, SOUND OF METAL and THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7. MANK received the most nominations with ten including Directing, Actor in a Leading Role and Cinematography. THE FATHER, JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH, MINARI, NOMADLAND, SOUND OF METAL and THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7 each garnered six nominations and PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN received five. The 93rd Oscars, produced by Jesse Collins, Stacey Sher and Steven Soderbergh, will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 8e|5p, and will be televised live on ABC and in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
