Five films are now competing to take home the most prestigious award in film, the Oscar, with the winner revealed when the Oscars air LIVE SUNDAY APRIL 25 8e|5p on ABC. The nominees for Directing are: ANOTHER ROUND, MANK, MINARI, NOMADLAND and PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN. Chloé Zhao, the director of NOMADLAND, is the first woman to receive four nominations in a single year. Emerald Fennell, the director of PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN, is the first woman to be nominated for her feature film directing debut.
