The nominees for Actress in a Leading Role are: Viola Davis, Andra Day, Vanessa Kirby, Frances McDormand and Carey Mulligan. McDormand becomes the third woman and the twentieth person to have both an acting and a Best Picture nomination, not necessarily for the same film.
