An Oscars Opener to Remember
1958 - To open the Oscars in 1959, actors Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster performed a song-and-dance routine that concluded with Douglas climbing onto Lancaster's shoulders and ended with the two men performing a somersault to applause.
