The Bachelor 2017 Recap: Nick Sends Home Half the Girls - Who's Left?

Nick Viall's The Bachelor 2017 journey was so overwhelming it went into crisis mode during Episode 6. After saying several hard goodbyes, Nick whisked the remaining bachelorettes off to the bright, sandy beaches of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The tropical locale should have been the perfect place to fall in love, but for Nick it ended up being the spot where he started questioning if this way of finding a partner was working for him. By the end of the episode, Nick had half the amount of contestants left and everyone wondering if he was going to shut the whole thing down. Want to find out who went home on The Bachelor? Let's dive into The Bachelor recap and spoilers for Season 21, Episode 6.

Taylor Crashes The Party: Despite being sent home on the two-on-one, Taylor is determined to defeat her arch rival, Corinne. The mental health counselor interrupts Nick and Corinne's one-on-one time to give Nick a piece of her mind. She assumes he let her go because Corinne lied and diminished her character. Taylor fears Nick thinks she is a bully and a mean girl. Nick hears her, respects her and appreciates her coming back to express herself, but ultimately his decision to send Taylor home has nothing to do with Corinne's comments and everything to do with who he sees potential with. At the rose ceremony, Alexis, Jaimi and Josephine are sent home and the remaining bachelorettes find out they are going to St. Thomas.

Corinne Meets Lorna: Corinne has made it clear that she's been missing Raquel, her nanny, while here on The Bachelor. So when the bachelorettes get a house mom, Lorna ('the St. Thomas version of Raquel,' says Corinne) to help them out, Corinne couldn't be happier to put her to work.

Kristina's Heartbreaking Childhood: After receiving the first one-on-one date with Nick in St. Thomas, Kristina opens up about her childhood in Russia. She talks about living in an orphanage after her mother kicked her out and about the hunger struggles she faced, including a time she ate lipstick to survive.

Jasmine G. Chokes: Jasmine G. hasn't had a one-on-one date with Nick and it is sending her into a spiral. She tells him on yet another group date she is put on his behavior is extremely frustrating and then says she wants to choke him. Some people might be into that sort of thing, but Nick is NOT one of them. Her attempt at sexing up the mood doesn't go over well and Nick tells her it might be best to say goodbye.

Whitney's Sad Farewell: Despite loving Whitney's calming and positive presence, Nick decides to let her go on their two-on-one date. Whitney questions whether Danielle L. is ready for a relationship and Nick tells her that it isn't about the other bachelorette, but the type of connection he is feeling with her.

Nick's Surprising Goodbye: After Whitney's elimination earlier in their two-on-one date, Nick and Danielle L. have some romantic one-on-one time. His mood seems to change after he asks her what she's looking for in a partner and her answer isn't filled with the same type of passion as his. As a result, he decides he has to send her home.

Nick Breaks Down: After unexpectedly sending both women home on the two-on-one date, Nick questions if this is going to work this time around. He arrives at the women's room and tells them he's not sure if he can keep doing this.
