Bachelorette Recap: Kaitlyn Bristowe Voted In as the New Bachelorette
The new Bachelorette is Kaitlyn Bristowe. The Bachelorette contestants have spoken and Kaitlyn is the woman that the men wanted to chase this season -- not that they could have possibly made a bad choice here.
Chris Harrison broke the news to Britt Nilsson right off in Part 2 of the season premiere:
Getting her heart broken yet again after going through the exact same thing a short while back on The Bachelor could not have been fun; she takes it pretty well, all things considered. She sheds some tears, sure, but even through the tears she maintains some perspective on her search for love. We wish her the best in her search, which may or may not even take that long (more on that below).
Kaitlyn, of course, got some good news, but man, Chris Harrison sure as heck made her think her time is up with his delivery:
After some proper celebration time, Kaitlyn got to work getting to know all the guys. She also handed out the First Impression Rose to Shawn B, a rose that also came with a little bit of a bonus from Kaitlyn:
In case you're keeping score at home, that wasn't even her first kiss of the season -- that honor went to Chris "Cupcake" a few minutes earlier. So Kaitlyn already has a few options that she's happy with thus far.
Then, of course, it was time for the Rose Ceremony. Kaitlyn barely had a chance to enjoy being the Bachelorette before she had to dig in to the not-so-fun business of breaking hearts (and potentially, dreams of being a TV personality). But during the ceremony, Brady interrupted to pull Kaitlyn aside and drop a bomb on her, telling her that he wanted to leave the show:
It turns out Brady's heart was with Britt. See? Britt might find love just yet via this season of The Bachelorette. That wrapped up the episode, BUT, if you did not watch the trailer for the 2015 season last night, take time to do it right now or you will regret it, because this just might be the most explosive season of The Bachelorette ever. Yes, we say that every time, but tell us... have we ever been wrong? No, no we have not. Anyway, watch the trailer below and then try to tell us this season won't be incredible, especially in those later weeks:
Yeah, that's what we thought. Fire up for some good times!
Watch The Bachelorette Monday May 25 9|8c on ABC.
