Bachelorette Recap: Kaitlyn Bristowe Voted In as the New Bachelorette
The new Bachelorette is Kaitlyn Bristowe. The Bachelorette contestants have spoken and Kaitlyn is the woman that the men wanted to chase this season -- not that they could have possibly made a bad choice here.
Britt Nilsson Gets Sent Home|The bachelors voted for Kaitlyn Bristowe instead.|Chris Harrison tells Britt Nilsson that she will not be the next Bachelorette. The bachelors in the house cast their votes for Kaitlyn Bristowe instead, who will continue on. Britt gives her final thoughts on her fate and shed a few tears in the limo on her way out. From Part 2 of the the 2015 season premiere of The Bachelorette.
Getting her heart broken yet again after going through the exact same thing a short while back on The Bachelor could not have been fun; she takes it pretty well, all things considered. She sheds some tears, sure, but even through the tears she maintains some perspective on her search for love. We wish her the best in her search, which may or may not even take that long (more on that below).
Kaitlyn, of course, got some good news, but man, Chris Harrison sure as heck made her think her time is up with his delivery:
Kaitlyn Bristowe Is the Bachelorette|Chris Harrison tells her she's going on a journey to find love.|Chris Harrison reveals that Kaitlyn Bristowe will be the new Bachelorette. Harrison sent Britt Nilsson home moments before, after the votes from the contestants were tallied and Kaitlyn received the most votes. Oh, also, she has to get inside so she can prep for the first Rose Ceremony, which she was not anticipating would be on the schedule for the evening. From Part 2 of the the 2015 season premiere of The Bachelorette.
After some proper celebration time, Kaitlyn got to work getting to know all the guys. She also handed out the First Impression Rose to Shawn B, a rose that also came with a little bit of a bonus from Kaitlyn:
Shawn B Gets the First impression Rose|He also gets some kisses from new Bachelorette Kaitlyn.|Shawn B gets the First Impression Rose -- and a few kisses -- from new Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. He made an impression on her when he stepped out of the limo, and made it clear that he was there for her from the beginning. The rose granted Shawn immunity during the first Rose Ceremony. From Part 2 of the the 2015 season premiere of The Bachelorette.
In case you're keeping score at home, that wasn't even her first kiss of the season -- that honor went to Chris "Cupcake" a few minutes earlier. So Kaitlyn already has a few options that she's happy with thus far.
Then, of course, it was time for the Rose Ceremony. Kaitlyn barely had a chance to enjoy being the Bachelorette before she had to dig in to the not-so-fun business of breaking hearts (and potentially, dreams of being a TV personality). But during the ceremony, Brady interrupted to pull Kaitlyn aside and drop a bomb on her, telling her that he wanted to leave the show:
Brady Leaves the Show|He tells Kaitlyn he had a connection with Britt.|Brady interrupts the Rose Ceremony to talk to new Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe, and tells her that his connection was stronger with Britt, and that he is leaving the show. He simply doesn't feel right about staying, and is hoping to reconnect with Britt to have a shot at love with her. From Part 2 of the the 2015 season premiere of The Bachelorette.
It turns out Brady's heart was with Britt. See? Britt might find love just yet via this season of The Bachelorette. That wrapped up the episode, BUT, if you did not watch the trailer for the 2015 season last night, take time to do it right now or you will regret it, because this just might be the most explosive season of The Bachelorette ever. Yes, we say that every time, but tell us... have we ever been wrong? No, no we have not. Anyway, watch the trailer below and then try to tell us this season won't be incredible, especially in those later weeks:
