Alyssa Diaz stars in Narcos: Mexico, which is a reset of the successful Netflix Narcos series, Diaz plays Mika Camarena, the wife of a Mexican-American undercover agent (Michael Peña). Narcos: Mexico also stars Diego Luna.
Most recently, she can be seen on Showtime's Ray Donovan as the luchadora Teresa, alongside Liev Schreiber, Paula Malcomson, and Dash Mihok.
Diaz has had series-regular roles on Zoo for CBS, Army Wives for Lifetime and The Nine Lives of Chloe King. She also guest starred in Fox's Lucifer and How to Get Away with Murder. On the big screen, she has had roles in movies such as Red Dawn and Shark Night.
The highly accomplished actress of Colombian, Mexican and Irish descent was born and raised in Los Angeles, and began acting at the age of 12 when a teacher encouraged her to sign up for the school's theater program. For the last decade, Diaz has studied at Stuart Rogers Studios and was a member of the award-winning theater company Theatre Tribe.
In 2015, Diaz co-founded I Am Now Me, an organization that mentors at-risk foster girls in Los Angeles. I Am Now Me offers young women tools to empower themselves to become healthy and to inspire them to become leaders in their communities. In her free time, Diaz enjoys traveling, painting and kickboxing.
