Known as the “Godfather of Skate”, David G Miles Jr. began roller skating in Golden Gate Park in 1979. And for the last 41 years, he has been a dedicated advocate for roller skating. Miles Jr. turned the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 554 Fillmore St. into the ultimate roller disco. And every night, when he opens the doors, he rings the church’s bells. "We ring the bells.
