In the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement sparked by the killing of George Floyd, Americans from all walks of life are coming around to the idea of removing confederate monuments and symbols. From Robert E. Lee's direct descendent supporting the removal of his ancestor's monuments to NASCAR banning the Confederate flag at its racetracks, Americans are taking steps in the right direction, but there is still a long way to go.
