Jennifer Edwards comes from a long tradition of homebrewers – her father included. So, after being laid off from a banking job in 2015, Jennifer decided to open a brewery in Houston’s Spring Branch neighborhood! 4J Brewing Company opened in March 2018 and is co-owned by Jennifer and her mother, Marilyn. That makes it a 100% female-owned brewery! And Jennifer’s dad, who got her into brewing, helps out around the brewery – serving as 4J’s official taste tester, maintenance worker and janitor.
