Group for Grieving Moms Uses Jewelry Making to Ease Pain
Every week parents gather together to heal from a shared tragedy at the beading hearts bereavement group. Each parent who attends the group is grieving the same loss of losing a child to drug addiction. The group grew out of a nonprofit, Look Up for Adam. Linda Nuszen created the group in her son’s honor Adam, shortly after he lost his battle with addiction in November of 2015. While Nuszen’s son was in recovery he started to make her inspirational beads, thus giving Nuszen the idea after her son’s death to continue beading and present them to others experiencing the same loss.
