“For women in general, we’re so underestimated that it’s so important to know your self-worth and understand that you know your ambition and where you can get.” Danielle Geathers is the first Black female student body president at MIT. She and her fellow candidates had to overcome the unique challenge of campaigning without stepping foot on campus, but by running on a platform of unity, transparency, and by amplifying the voices of underrepresented students, she won the hearts of her peers and will continue to advocate for their success throughout these difficult times.
