Actor Biography

Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, Matthew Lamb is a multitalented young performer who is quickly making his mark in television, film and theater. His previous acting credits include "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," "Smile" and "Mandrome," and he had a guest-starring role in "Only Murders in the Building." Lamb filmed his first leading role in the feature "Going for Two," alongside Julianne Hough. He starred as Jimmy Moriarty, a fatherless 12-year-old boy embarking on a quest for his "manhood" against the backdrop of a college football team's National Championship game in 1983.

As a professional voiceover artist, Lamb originated the role of Devin on Disney Jr.'s "Sofia the First: Royal Magic." He has also lent his voice to commercials and a variety of animated series for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Nickelodeon.

On the stage, Lamb's performance as the Little Boy in Signature Theatre's production of "Ragtime" earned him a 2024 Helen Hayes Award nomination for outstanding performer in a supporting role. He later reprised the role in New York City Center's production of "Ragtime." Additionally, Lamb performed the role of Frank Jr. in the off-Broadway production of "Merrily We Roll Along" at New York Theatre Workshop, in addition to other regional theater credits.

When not performing, Lamb is expanding his talents behind the camera, writing, directing and producing his own work. His first short film, "Two Doors Down," was shot in one continuous take.
