James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess (Tango): James recalls the accident that almost took his life. Doctors said no one could have survived such a trauma. But survive, and thrive, James did. His energetic dance with Sharna brought cheers from the crowd. Bruno said James went into hyperdrive in his attack of the Tango. Carrie Ann calls James the one to beat. Julianne was impressed with his frame and gave him some advice to become unbeatable. The doctor who helped save James's life was on hand to hear scores of 10-9-10 from the judges for a total of 29.

Terra Jole and Sasha Farber (Contemporary): Terra dedicated her emotionally-moving, not to mention fast-moving, dance to her father who died while she was away. Carrie Ann teared up a little when she let Terra know she's living the dream. Julianne and Bruno added the sentiment that everyone already knew - Terra's dad would have been proud. 9-9-9 from the judges for a total of 27.

Maureen McCormick and Artem Chigvintsev (Foxtrot): Maureen dedicated her emotional dance to her husband, who said he was honored to be part of her Dancing journey. Julianne felt the routine was art imitating life. Maureen is a differnt person from Week 1. Bruno felt the dance would make every girl in the country want to get married - including him! Carrie Ann described Maureen as slow and steady, a good thing, as that's what wins the race. Scores of 8-8-8 from the judges for a total of 24. See Maureen's dance here!

Calvin Johnson, Jr. and Lindsay Arnold (Jazz): Calvin opted to celebrate the year he broke the receiving record of NFL legend Jerry Rice, who was actually in the ballroom to toss him a surprise pass at the end of the dance. Back in 2012, Calvin gave the game ball to his dad, so his dance was a celebration of his family. Bruno felt Calvin stepped out of the Motown Charm School. Carrie Ann feels Calvin brings the fun like no one else. Julianne feels Calvin and Lindsay are magic together. 8-8-8 for a total of 24 from the judges. See Calvin's dance here!

Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko (Contemporary): Jana dedicated her dance to her daughter. After going through some tough times, she knows she never wants her little girl to have similar experiences. After the dance was done, Jana grabbed her baby to the delight of the crowd. Carrie Ann felt her dance was a breakthrough as far as the beauty of it all. A teary-eyed Julianne summed things up in one word: perseverance. Bruno felt Jana was fearless and dedicated and he loved it. 9-8-9 from the judges for 26.

Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke (Contemporary): Ryan's most memorable year was 2008 when he won his first Olympic Gold medal as an individual. He dedicated the dance to the one person who has always been by his side: his mom. Julianne was very impressed at how Ryan stepped out of his comfort zone and gave it everything he had. Bruno felt the performance was his most honest to date. Carrie Ann saw all of Ryan's vulnerability in what was his best performance to date. 8-8-8 for a total of 24. See Ryan's dance here!

Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy (Paso Doble): Laurie's Most Memorble Year is 2016 because she realized her dream of finally making it to Dancing with the Stars. That was Val's joke. Actually, she made the Olympics as well in 2016, which is pretty good, too. Laurie broke free from the walls around her literally before turning in a truly intense dance. Bruno said she set of seismic alarms across the nation, but she had some issues with her footwork. Carrie Ann didn't feel Laurie needed the opening sequence, but Laurie is still fierce. Julianne felt the dance was fantastic, but she wants to be more of a connection with Val. 8-9-8 from the judges for a total of 25. See Laurie's dance here!

Marilu Henner and Derek Hough (Viennese Waltz): Marilu talked about how she had her final audition for Taxi was right around the time her mother passed away after a long illness. A few days before she died, Marilu's mom told her to never hold herself back. Well, she certainly let loose in her dance with a powerful routine that would have surely made mom proud. The judges all gave Marilu a hug at the end (well, Bruno hugged Derek). Tears were flowing from Carrie Ann and Julianne after what Bruno called a brilliant dance. Three 9s from the judges for a total of 27.

Amber Rose & Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Samba): Amber and Maks had a rough time during dress rehearsals, but the team turned it around come show time with a highly-entertaining routine. Julianne loved the costume, concept and content but she wants Amber to have the same fire she shows going solo when she teams with Maks. Bruno agrees that Amber needs to trust Maks. Carrie Ann feels Amber was bigger than the colorful outfit she wore. 8-8-8 from the judges for a total of 24.
