Jane Campion is the Oscars 2022 Directing Oscar winner for THE POWER OF THE DOG! This is Ryusuke Hamaguchi's first nomination for DRIVE MY CAR and Stephen Spielberg's eighth nomination in this category for WEST SIDE STORY. Jane Campion becomes the first woman to have more than one nomination in the Directing category. She is the fourth woman to be nominated for Directing, Writing and Best Picture for the same film.
