Jimmy Kimmel's Emotional Farewell to David Letterman

In honor of David Letterman’s final show, Jimmy Kimmel shares the great impact Dave has had on his life and career. Jimmy recounts how he'd watch Late Night with David Letterman when he was a kid and how he'd stay up late every night drawing because he wanted to be an artist. The show had such an influence on Jimmy that in his teens, he had a Late Night-themed birthday cake and he got a "L8 NITE" vanity plate for his very first car. An emotional Jimmy goes on to explain how the show taught him what he's doing today and that he was hired to host his show after the execs at ABC saw Jimmy when he was a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman.  Jimmy planned a rerun for tomorrow's show and encouraged his audience to watch David Letterman's last show.  Jimmy advises "Tomorrow night is David Letterman's last show and I would like it if you watch that instead of our show."

Jimmy Kimmel: "Looking back, I've now figured out why none of the girls at school wanted to have sex with me."
