The nominees for Writing (Original Screenplay) are: JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH, MINARI, PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN, SOUND OF METAL and THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7. This is Emerald Fennell's first nomination in this category for writing PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN. She is also nominated in the Best Picture and Directing categories this year.
