In the How to Get Away with Murder's Season 3 Episode 9, "Who's Dead?" Winter Finale, we were left heartbroken when we found out Wes (Alfred Enoch) is under the sheet.  Annalise receives a tip about A.D.A. Atwood that leads to a heated confrontation with Nate. Asher unintentionally invites Michaela's mother to town.  Wes is called to the police station to help the investigators piece together a case against Annalise.  Meanwhile, the deadly events leading up to Annalise's house fire reveal who's under the sheet.

Annalise finds out A.D.A. Atwood is on her tail
Annalise finds out that A.D.A. Rene Atwood (Guest Star Milauna Jackson) has visited Annalise's salon to get information about her. Annalise then goes to A.D.A. Atwood's office to make amends for their contentious past. Atwood let's Annalise know that she's seeing Nate and doesn't want them to fight about it. Annalise agrees and wants to know if Rene has any suggestions for a new salon.

Annalise Accuses Nate of Investigating Her
Annalise wants to talk to Nate in the parking lot.  She believes that Nate only got the new job because his new girlfriend is investigating her.  Nate can't believe her accusations after all the illegal acts he's helped with.  Nate ends the conversation and asks that Annalise stay away from him.

Michaela Sends Her Mother Away
After Michaela's mom shows up unannounced thanks to help from Asher, Michaela is forced to send her elsewhere because she doesn't want to take care of her. Her mom (Guest Star Brett Butler) doesn't believe what she's hearing after taking care of Michaela as a foster child. Michaela insists that she didn't get any help from her mom and tells her to leave. Asher shows up with Laurel and Connor putting an end to their fight.

Wes is Dead
After Connor arrives safely to the hospital, everyone wants to know who died in the fire.  Bonnie reveals that Wes passed away in the fire.  Meggy and Laurel find out about Wes' death on the TV in the hospital room.

Wes Was Already Dead
Nate visits Annalise in jail following her arrest.  Annalise denies having any involvement in the murder but Nate only came by to tell her that Wes was already dead before the fire.

Nate's shocking information leaves us wondering what really happened to Wes.  How did Wes die before the fire at Annalise's house?  Who killed Wes?  We'll need to wait until How to Get Away with Murder returns on Thursday January 19 10|9c following the season 6 premiere of Scandal.
