Five films are now competing to take home the most prestigious award in film, the Oscar, with the winner revealed when The Oscars airs LIVE SUNDAY APRIL 25 8e|5p on ABC. The nominees for Film Editing are: THE FATHER, NOMADLAND, PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN, SOUND OF METAL and THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7. THE FATHER, NOMADLAND, SOUND OF METAL and THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7 all have six nominations this year. PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN has five nominations. THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7

What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police. Protest organizers were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot, and the trial that followed was one of the most notorious in history.


The 93rd Oscars, produced by Jesse Collins, Stacey Sher and Steven Soderbergh, will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 8e|5p, and will be televised live on ABC and in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
