ABC Celebrates "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"
Not sure if you heard, but there's a little movie coming out on December 18 called Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will be an addition to the ridiculously popular, world-famous Star Wars universe! ABC is celebrating this momentous occasion in a couple of ways. Tonight, Jimmy Kimmel Live will feature SW:TFA's director J.J. Abrams and cast Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Carrie Fisher (who played Princess Leia in the original trilogy). And right here, right now, you can watch a montage of some of your favorite ABC characters having some Star Wars moments, including Dre and Junior from black-ish!
After Dre tells Junior not to go to the Dark Side like Darth Vader did, Junior does his best to correct Dre's continuity error. Watch this and many more hilarious moments in the clip below!
You'll also recognize characters from other ABC comedies, like Modern Family's Phil Dunphy, Adam Goldberg from -- wait for it -- The Goldbergs, and ABC drama fans will find Emma from Once Upon a Time trying to pass as Princess Leia, and Castle's Richard Castle hoping to get a gift of lightsabers.
Harrison Ford joined the American Music Awards last night on ABC and introduced a scene from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. ABC's Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder recently discussed Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the ways their characters have had parallels to Star Wars in one way or another. Here's Scandal's Kerry Washington discussing Olivia Pope's Luke Skywalker moment:
And here's Murder's Jack Falahee explaining how every role he plays as an actor is being channeled through Han Solo:
Enjoy, young Jedis, and we'll see you in the theater on December 18 for Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
