TV Theme Night Costumes on "Dancing with the Stars"
TV Theme Night on Dancing with the Stars brought lots of variety to the ballroom as the couples danced to iconic show theme songs from past to present. While sadly Kim Zolciak Biermann was forced to hang up her dancing shoes due to medical concerns, the remaining couples cheered up the crowd with original moves and costumes. This week’s theme made things a little different in terms of dress with most of the competitors sporting more covered up looks as opposed to the typical barely-there frocks.
Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas — complete with a bald cap covering his long dark hair typically seen during season 21 in a manbun — channeled their inner Walter White and Jesse Pinkman with Breaking Bad-inspired looks. The loose jumpsuits helped the two earn rave responses from the judges for their gender-neutral seamless jazz routine.
Gary Busey shocked the ballroom showing up looking like quite the debonair gentleman for his Tango with Anna Trebunskaya to the theme from The Addams Family. The Oscar winner and his partner mesmerized the crowd during their dance looking every ounce the madly in love couple Gomez and Morticia Addams.
There was certainly nothing lacking from Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough’s routine after having to switch their theme song from The Jetsons to The Jeffersons. The couple nailed the last minute retro look change, but Irwin’s enthusiasm got the best of her with judge Bruno Tonioli accusing her of having a little too much pep in the pair’s Quickstep.
