Recap: The Semifinals and Noah Galloway's Proposal!

Recap: The Semifinals and Noah Galloway's Proposal!

It was semifinals time during of a terrific and surprising 10th Anniversary Season of Dancing with the Stars. Of course, the show was full of fantastic dance routines, but they all took a backseat to the sweet marriage proposal Noah Galloway sprung on his now-fiancée, Jamie. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. There was, however, a lot more dancing. Check out the Glitter Report for the Season 20 “Semi-Finals” episode of Dancing with the Stars!

A Wedding Dance Move: Len called Noah Galloway’s fine Viennese Waltz his best dance so far. Even if that was the case, it wasn’t his best move. That came a few minutes later when he let the world witness his heartfelt marriage proposal to the love of his life. It was the highlight of the night.

From Len, A Gem: Nastia Liukin has certainly had her hands full juggling two partners thanks to Derek Hough’s injury. That didn’t stop her from doing a perfect Quickstep with interim partner Sasha Farber. A little later, we saw a softer side of Len Goodman as he set forth on a mission to recapture some days gone by with Nastia and Derek’s routine. The head judge even got back on the dance floor to help bring it all home. Len wanted this team to show some more emotion this time around. They took this advice to heart to deliver a truly moving dance.

Perfect Choices: Perfection was in the ballroom once more every time Riker Lynch took to the floor. The crowd and the judges were blown away by Riker's Contemporary dance with partner Allison Holker. Julianne Hough couldn’t even tell who the pro was in this first routine. The impressed judge then got in on the action herself to join Riker and Allison for a perfect Argentine Tango.

He’s Mad, We Tell You…Mad!: After Rumer Willis and her partner, Valentin Chmerkovskiy turned in a fine Viennese Waltz, evil genius Bruno Tonioli was given free reign (never a safe thing) over Rumer Willis’s Contemporary routine. He chose “Swan Lake” as a theme, but executed it in a way nobody saw coming. See the results of this mad judge’s diabolical dance that earned perfectos from all three of Bruno’s colleagues.

Feel the Heat: As we already mentioned, nothing was going to top Noah’s popping of the question to his girlfriend, Jamie. That doesn’t mean the future groom didn’t do himself proud on the dance floor, too. After Noah’s Viennese Waltz, Carrie Ann Inaba orchestrated a hot and fiery Paso Doble. The routine probably wouldn’t make for a good wedding dance, but it did the trick in the semis with Noah’s first perfect score of the season.
