Donald Trump Campaign is an April Fools Prank According to Jimmy Kimmel
In honor of April Fools' Day 2016, Jimmy debuted Donald Trump's huge announcement video. The video positioned Donald Trump's presidential campaign as an April Fools prank that he pulled over an entire nation. Jimmy set the clip up by stating that the clip was "a bombshell revelation that could make you question everything you know about the state of American politics." Using clips from all the coverage of Donald Trump, the voice pretending to be Trump tells the audience "Our country is totally divided. There's so much hatred. so that's what I made my campaign about. I said the craziest things I could think of...things you never heard a candidate say. I had no idea it would go this far, no matter how insane i got. Millions of you showed up to support me." The fake trump reveals that it was all an April Fools prank and then reminds everyone to go vote for his friend Hillary Clinton.
Jimmy's video adds some levity to Donald Trump's very controversial campaign. The April Fools video contained actual footage from his Donald's debates and campaign rallies full of one-liners that really make us wonder if this is actually happening.
