Actor Biography
Award-winning actress, writer, producer and director Polly Draper is perhaps best known for her Emmy®-nominated role in the iconic series "Thirtysomething," where she played the role of Ellyn Warren. She is the creator and showrunner of the mega-hit Nickelodeon series "The Naked Brothers Band," for which she won a Writers Guild Award for and was nominated three other times. The show starred her real-life sons, actors/musicians Nat and Alex Wolff. More recently, Draper wrote, directed and starred in the hilarious and touching "Stella's Last Weekend," which is streaming on Hulu.
She can be seen recurring on the Showtime series "Billions," CBS All Access' series "Tell Me a Story" and Netflix series "First Kill" as Davina Atwood. Draper is also featured in the most recent season of "Hacks," opposite Jean Smart.
In addition to her TV credits, Draper can be seen in films such as "Demolition" starring Jake Gyllenhaal, "Our Idiot Brother" starring Paul Rudd, "Side Effects" directed by Steven Soderbergh, and opposite Jenny Slate in the indie darling "Obvious Child." She also starred in the indie feature "Shiva Baby," which premiered at South by Southwest Film Festival and was nominated for the SXSW Grand Jury Award.
Draper recently wrapped on the feature film "Little Brother," where she plays opposite J.K. Simmons, and is currently working on the upcoming ABC drama "The Company You Keep."
