Actor Biography
James Saito, a native of Los Angeles, California, has sustained a broad acting career with highlights in film, television and theater. He is widely known for his many on-screen roles, including his fan-favorite portrayal of Shredder in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Saito has also appeared in several notable films including "Life of Pi," "Big Eyes," "While We're Young," "The Thomas Crown Affair," "The Devil's Advocate," "Home Alone 3," "Pearl Harbor," and can currently be seen in the Netflix Original films "Always Be My Maybe" and "Love Hard."
He has worked with several noteworthy film directors such as Ang Lee, Barry Levinson, Gus Van Sant, Noah Baumbach and Tim Burton.
His most recent TV credits include "Blockbuster" for Netflix and "Little America" for Apple TV. Saito has enjoyed working on "The Terror" for the AMC Network, "Modern Love" for Amazon, CBS' "New Amsterdam Elementary," "Instinct" and "Hawaii Five-0," HBO's "Paterno" and "The Deuce," and the Netflix Originals "Altered Carbon," "Iron Fist" and "House of Cards." Saito also starred on Greg Berlanti's ABC drama "Eli Stone" as series regular Dr. Chen.
