"American Idol" Top 16 - Who Went Home?

When the Top 24 for 2021's "American Idol" debuted, they did so with 48(!) big performances across two nights, including instant classic duets with some of the biggest names in music. Which contestants got voted into the Top 16 and who went home?

Host Ryan Seacrest started out the episode explaining that the results will be revealed in two groups, the same sets of 12 that performed each night, with four people going home from each set. He will read off the name of the person who made it to the Top 16 and then they will immediately perform, receiving comments from judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie when they have finished.

From Night 1, Alyssa Wray, Graham DeFranco, Grace Kinstler, Alanis Sophia, Willie Spence, Deshawn Goncalves, Wyatt Pike, and Cassandra Coleman have earned enough votes to make it through which means Alana, Cecil Ray, Andrea Valles, and Anilee List have been eliminated from the competition.

The contestants moving forward from Night 2 are Caleb Kennedy, Colin Jamieson, Casey Bishop, Madison Watkins, Beane, Hunter Metts, Ava August, and Chayce Beckham. Which means Jason Warrior, Liahona, Mary Jo Young, and Hannah Everhart have also been eliminated.
