Dancing with the Stars Finals Recap: Top 3 Finalists Perform Freestyle Dances!

It’s time for the Finals of the 10th Anniversary Season of Dancing with the Stars. Rumer Willis, Riker Lynch and Noah Galloway have bested all others as they embarked on Part 1 of an epic 2-night season finale event. In addition to some repeat performances, each team got the chance to do anything they wanted with their freestyle routines. How did they do? Let’s take a look in The Glitter Report!

Rough Start: Noah Galloway’s Argentine Tango was an improvement from Week 3, but there were still some stumbles. The judges chalked it up to nerves. Sharna wasn’t too worried. She knew they still had their freestyle. It’s not how you start. It’s how you finish. But right now, let’s see how Noah started.

Captain Jack Is Back: Riker’s Pirates of the Caribbean-themed Paso Doble was one of the highlights of Disney Week on Dancing with the Stars. Just like he did in Week 5, Riker had the crowd going wild with some sensationally savvy moves. Riker scored a perfect 40 from the judges and never broke character even long after the dance was done.

Dancing Royalty: Rumer was back in fine Foxtrot form as she and Val returned to the routine that brought them high scores earlier this season. Papa Bruce Willis was in the house cheering her on. So was everyone else. Bruno said, “You may come from Hollywood royalty but you are now, by your own merit, dancing royalty.”

Comeback Time: Noah knew he needed to elevate his game to rise up from his first dance. That meant elevating himself. Noah was raised high in the air during his mesmerizing freestyle. When he came back down to earth, he forged ahead to deliver the comeback of the night.

Fast and Free: It was another high-energy, high-flying, high-scoring routine from Riker Lynch. His freestyle was a perfect mix slick style and frenetic fun. In short, it was fantastic!

Perfect Ending: From out of the shadows came Rumer and Val for their daring freestyle routine. Bruno declared that it had “bewitching intensity.” The other judges also had high praise to go with a row of double-digit paddles. The third straight perfect freestyle performance was also the perfect way to end the evening.

The Champions are Crowned: When all was said and danced, yhe Grand Finale of the 10th Anniversary Season of Dancing with the Stars brought a new shiny Mirrorball Trophy for deserving champs Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Let the celebration begin!
