Actor Biography
Actress, writer and director Sarah Wayne Callies is best known for starring in multiple hit television series. Callies is currently in production on the new ABC series "The Company You Keep." Most recently, she starred in the NBC drama series "Council of Dads," the first season of which is currently available on Peacock and Hulu. Prior to "Council of Dads," Callies starred in the USA series "Colony" as well as in the AMC mega-hit "The Walking Dead."
Callie's role in the Fox franchise "Prison Break" continued with a reboot of the series. She starred in the critically acclaimed National Geographic limited series "The Long Road Home" based on the Martha Raddatz book of the same name. She also recently starred in the Sundance TV/CBC limited series "Unspeakable." She has taken the leap into directing having directed an episode of the limited series as well as an episode of the final season of "Colony." Callies has also directed multiple episodes of this season of "The Good Doctor" for ABC and has recently directed an episode of "Fire Country" and several episodes of Netflix's "Firefly Lane." As a writer, Callies has several screenplays in development with various motion picture entities.
As a film actress, Callies has appeared in Giancarlo Esposito's "This Is Your Death," starring opposite Josh Duhamel and Famke Jannsen, Warner Brothers' and Broken Road's geo-thriller "Into the Storm," Voltage Pictures' "Pay the Ghost" opposite Nicolas Cage, "Black November" opposite Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger, and she was most recently seen in 20th Century's "The Other Side of the Door."
Continuing her passion for storytelling, Callies is the writer, director and voice of the new science fiction, post-apocalyptic scripted podcast "Aftershock."
