After being betrayed by a scheming ex-friend, Joss is sent to jail with no bail. The police believe she murdered Luca because she’s obsessed and in love with Calista. Testimony from her ex, Alex, helps fuel the fire. Joss believes all of her misfortunes began after she hooked up with Harry on her wedding day. This has her wondering what life would be like if only she had married Scott.
Joss details the fantasy life she would have had with Scott to her cell-mate. It involves a romantic honeymoon as well as a little baby talk. Career opportunities are also covered. In this fantasy life, Joss attempts to get a job with Ellis Boone. She runs into Harry. Things go from uncomfortable to awkward when Joss is offered a job at Wunderbar.
Instead of taking her dream job, a panicked Joss decides to try to make a baby with her fantasy hubby. She needs champagne to go forward with it. While at the store picking up a bottle, she runs into Harry. The two of them kiss. This sequence of fantasies has Joss realizing that Harry was always going to be her destiny.
In the real world, Harry becomes increasingly frustrated by his inability to help Joss. Ari lets works her agent magic with Ellis to get him to prepare a huge benefit dinner. She makes it clear that this is something that needs to happen. Harry realizes why once Ari gives a speech about her sister who had recently died from cancer. He finishes her speech for her once she gets choked up. He knows what it feels like to be in a situation where you feel helpless. Later, Harry and Ari share a nice moment.
Karen reveals that she is pregnant. She considers having the baby and then handing the child over to Alec and Vivian. The couple in question has been on rocky ground ever since the tantalizing threesome dropped down to a not-so-dynamic duo. Vivian may leave her husband. This has Karen rethinking things. She’s advised by a priest give her baby up for adoption. She’s offended by this suggestion as well as the other judgments hurled her way. She heads over to Alec and Vivian’s place. She has some news to share.
With Blair out of town on a trip, April gives her ex, “sexy smoldering” Daniel, a call regarding the Joss situation. Plans for a lunch date are made. The chemistry between these two is still present. Daniel does what he can to help April because he believes she’s the love of his life. Spending a full day together leads to a night of passion.
The next morning, April lets Daniel know that they can’t ever be together. She will always love him, but she still can’t trust him. Daniel leaves, but not before turning over a flash drive that may help Joss with her case. A short time later, David visits Joss in jail. He needs to show her something. He thinks she’s going to like it.
