When April Tells Someone to Go to Hell, She Means It
April is beyond angry with Arizona for telling Jackson about April's pregnancy. Arizona tries to apologize and explains she thought she was helping, but April doesn't want to hear it. She tells Arizona not to think about her, talk to her, or even look at her, and adds, "And I believe in this stuff, so understand how much I mean it when I tell you, go to hell!" Arizona is taken aback by April's reaction, but still doesn't think she did anything terrible. Arizona consults both Callie and Bailey before she realizes how out of line she was. It's Amelia who understands what it's like to have done something so indefensible that an apology isn't enough to fix it. She tells Arizona that it's not up to her, she has to give April time, and hope she can forgive: "The only thing that you can do right now is accept what you did was wrong."

Riggs Is Fed Up with Owen
Hearing Dr. Riggs tell the parents of a patient with no brain activity not to give up hope sets Owen off. He follows Riggs out of the room and confronts him about it. Riggs goes on the offensive, finally tired of letting Owen blame him for Megan's death. He points out that Owen was the one who decided Megan was dead, and gave up looking for her. "People here don't even know you had a sister! That's sick, mate. If you need to hate someone, look in a mirror," he says, and storms off. Owen is speechless. Later, when Amelia shows up at Owen's trailer for their date, she finds him depressed and very drunk. She looks slowly around the trailer at all the empty bottles, then quickly heads for the door, running from the temptation as fast as she can.

April Shuts Jackson Out
Jackson knocks on April's door to apologize for his reaction to finding out about her pregnancy. April explains she wasn't planning to tell him about the baby until knowing it was healthy, but suddenly Jackson becomes hostile. He accuses April of trying to wait until she was too far along to do anything about it if the baby has the same disorder that Samuel had. Jackson grows angrier when April informs him that what he wants doesn't count, because it's her body and her baby, and he has no rights.

Meredith Decides to Give Dating a Chance
Soon after agreeing to go out with Major Thorpe, Meredith cancels, using an emergency transplant surgery as an excuse. But after some prodding from Alex, Meredith calls Thorpe back. When she admits she's too tired for a date after the 17-hour surgery, Thorpe offers to drive her home so she can sleep in her own bed instead of at the hospital. They end up sharing french fries and talking in the car outside her house. Meredith is having fun, and seems ready to start moving on.
